5 Ways To Fake Fuller Lips

How To Get Plump Lips Like Angelina Jolie | My Makeup Brushes

No Fillers Necessary!

While nothing will ever quite measure up to maybe she's born with it, maybe it's a syringe of fillers; if you pick the right lip enhancing formulas, they can help mimic that effect. The truth is a lip plumper isn't going to perform some miracle. Once you adjust your expectation, you will find plenty of products that can give a more voluptuous pout without actually changing the shape of your lips. To my liking, lips have really been the forefront of the beauty world for quite some time now. I say to my liking because if you know me at all, I was blessed and born with Angelina Jolie-like lips. Almost everyone can agree that when it comes to their lips, bigger is always better. So aside from lip fillers and lip plumpers, there are other targeted lip care routines that can help you achieve that look.

1. Brush Off Flakes.

Nobody likes flaky lips. Flaky lips also reflect less light, have a dry pucker and will make your lips appear small. Take an unused toothbrush and gently brush your lips in a circular motion. This is a great way to exfoliate lips and also promotes circulation, causing a temporary plump. If a toothbrush isn't your thing, grab a lip scrub instead and apply the same technique.

2. Enhance With Lip Balm.

Add peppermint oil to your lip balm for a tingly upgrade. The calming oil will give your lips a tingling sensation as they swell a bit. The oil-balm combo will give your mouth a glistening finish.

3. Conceal To Fake It.

Go in with your concealer and pat some on the edge of your lips, spreading it past your natural lip line. Now you can go with a natural colored lip pencil and use the overdraw technique to create your own canvas. Be sure to smudge any rough edges and apply lipstick, gloss, or both.

4. Placement Matters.

When applying lipgloss, instead of your usual all over application, apply a dab of it onto the middle of both your top and bottom lip. The shimmery product picks up the light, making your pout look even fuller. Another great trick when it comes to placement is to use your highlighter and apply just a tad to your cupid's bow AKA the dip on top of your lips. These light reflecting tricks will instantly make your lips look bigger.

5. Use a Lip Plumper.

Yes, I know you've been waiting for this one. When in doubt, fake a plumper pout with a lip plumper. Beware though, if you've never used one before, they definitely sting when you first apply them. Finding a good lip plumper with other benefits is always a plus.
